Amzy E. Hibler was on a mission across the Elbe River into enemy
territory on the night of May 4-5, 1945, and failed to return. A search was made immediately, but his body was not found until a few days later, when it was removed from German soil. He was buried at the Netherlands American Cemetery at Margraten. April 24, 1949, Amzy was reburied at Blanket Cemetery, Brown County, Texas. |
